Robert (Bobby) H. Donovan, 67, died on November 4, 2020 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. He was born and raised in Quincy, Massachusetts, the son of Joan E Donovan and the late Kenneth R. Donovan. He attended Quincy Public Schools and entered the Air Force upon graduation, proudly serving our country from 1973-1981.
Robert was a hard-working man who loved to build and create beautiful carpentry work. After having lived in many wonderful places, Robert retired to Florida. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and driving his beloved Corvette.
Robert is survived by his wife Fanny, his mother Joan Donovan, daughters Nicole Laing and Amanda Donovan, grandsons Alexzander and Masun, stepson Eduardo, brothers and sisters and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held at Hamel-Lyon Chapel, 650 Hancock Street, Quincy MA Sunday, July 18, 2021 starting at 10:30AM followed by a Celebration of Life ceremony at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Robert’s name be made to the Fisher House Foundation serving military families or your local Veteran’s Association.
