Robert C. Medeiros

Robert C. Medeiros, a resident of Quincy, Ma, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 29th, 2024, in Wayland, Ma surrounded by his loving family. Robert fought a long and hard but nonetheless a very brave and courageous battle against cancer.

Robert was born on June 4th, 1971, in New Bedford, MA. Son of Olivia DeMedeiros-Amaro and Marcelino DeMedeiros. He was the youngest of eleven children. Robert graduated from Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School.

Robert’s love for the ocean was very well known. For over 30 years he worked as a commercial fisherman with a special love for scalloping. He took great pride in teaching the value of hard work and perseverance. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and friend who is known for his warmth, generosity, and dedication to his family and community. He brought joy to every room he entered and was a constant source of support and strength to his loved ones.

Above all else, Robert cherished his role as a father and grandfather. He is survived by his three children: Michael Medeiros, Samantha Medeiros, and Sarena Medeiros; and his beloved granddaughter Madelyn. In addition, his partner, Jennie Murray. Robert’s family remembers him as loving, hardworking, and wise. He was a man whose presence brought comfort and peace. He made sure you felt cared for. Robert touched the lives of everyone who knew him and will be deeply missed by all.

Visiting hour will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, 550 Washington Street Quincy, on Monday, January 13th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. Followed by a Funeral Mass and Burial. Family and friends are welcomed to honor the great man Robert was.
