Ronald Cirafice Obituary

Ronald (Ronnie) Peter Cirafice, 91, of Braintree, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025.

Ronnie was born in Boston and was a graduate of Charlestown High. He worked as an electrical foreman for the MBTA for over 25 years.

As the child of a Navy serviceman, he lived in many states, developing a deep appreciation for family, resilience and service.  He attended Georgia Military Academy before returning to Massachusetts following the loss of his father during World War II – a turning point that shaped much of his life’s path.

Married to the love of his life for 59 wonderful years, Ronnie was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His warmth, strength and quiet generosity touched the lives of all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.

After the passing of his beloved wife, his loyal dog, Bella, became a cherished companion, bringing him comfort and companionship in his later years.  Bella kept his twinkling blue eyes smiling, and she was his second love.

A true lover of the water, Ronnie, found great joy in boating and being out on the open sea.  Known for his ability to fix just about anything, he enjoyed tinkering and always had a project in progress.  More than his talents, though, it was his willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need that defined him – he was always there when you needed him. He served his community as an Auxiliary Police Officer for the City of Quincy from 1972 to 1986.

His legacy is one of love, strength and unwavering support.  He will be forever missed by all who knew him, especially his family. His family included 6 children, 10 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren to whom he was known as Papa and Grandpa. Ronnie is survived by his Loving children, John of Quincy, Bobby and his wife Jean Cirafice of Hanover, Mary and her husband Bob D'Orval of Cohasset, James and his wife Tammy Cirafice of Hanover, Richard Cirafice and his fiancé’ Alethia Botchis of Hingham, William and his wife Julie of Hanover. His 10 grandchildren, Bobby Jr., Kevin Cirafice, Nicole, James Jr., Christopher, Joseph, Nicholas Sydney, Kaleigh, and Arianna.

Ronnie is predeceased by his loving wife Marilyn, daughters Karen and Barbara. Ronnie will be missed by all who know him. A celebration of life service will be held Sunday June 29, 2025 from 5-7 PM in the Hamel-Lydon Chapel, 650 Hancock St, Quincy MA 02170. Private burial in the Canton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
