Rosemary T. (Christiansen) Nuccitelli, age 89, of Dorchester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
Rosemary was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from St. Brendan’s High School in 1954. In her early career, she worked as a private secretary in New York City around the corner from the Stock Exchange. Later in life, she followed her dream and graduated from Salem State College in 1974, with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She worked as a Head Teacher in an after-school program for a number of years.
Over the years, Rosemary enjoyed yoga, walking, gardening, cooking, reading, needlepoint, knitting and many other crafts.
She was the daughter of the late Walter and Lillian (Parker) Christiansen. She was the sister of Carol Christiansen of Lansdale, PA and the late Jane Leavy of Brooklyn, NY. She is survived by her daughters, Jean Sarkis and her husband Peter of Atkinson, NH; Maureen Nuccitelli of Watertown; and Maryanne Mullen and her husband Joe of Quincy. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Corey Sarkis and Reese Mullen; and three nephews, Timothy Leavy; Daniel Leavy and his wife Sieglinde; and Kevin Leavy and his husband, Peter; and several cousins.
