Ruth Chu 朱淑君

Ruth Chu, age 54, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 20, 2023, at AccentCare Inpatient Hospice Center in Milton, MA.

She was born August 2, 1968, in Boston, MA to Eugene and Hannah Chu. She was a 1986 graduate of Boston Latin School and a 1990 graduate of Boston University. She remained single her whole life and was a dedicated godmother to Nathan Lee and Evan Lee since 2005 and 2008 respectively. She worked recently as a senior data analyst for Point32 and made a lasting impression on her coworkers and manager. Ruth truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; caring for her family; deepening and maintaining bonds of friendship over the decades; and intimately participating in spiritual life at Boston Chinese Evangelical Church, Grace Chapel, Bible Study Fellowship, and many more spiritual friendships throughout her life. She is remembered for her love for Jesus, the laughter she instilled in her friends, her fondness of Snoopy and Sanrio, and her dedication to family. She is survived by her father, Eugene; her mother, Hannah; her brother, Mike; her sister-in-law, Sofia; her many uncles, aunts, cousins.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Ruth touched are invited to the Visiting Hours on Friday, March 3, 2023 from 4:00-7:00pm at the Tirrell Room (Hamel-Lydon), 254 Quarry Street, Quincy, MA, 02169. Funeral will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the Tirrell Room and can be livestreamed by clicking here.

The interment of Ruth's cremains will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 3:00pm at Blue Hill Cemetery, 700 West Street in Braintree. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the interment by meeting at the Blue Hill Cemetery Office (across the street from the Cemetery) at 2:45pm.
