Susan Lynn McCarthy

Susan Lynn McCarthy, 59, passed away at the Aspen Hill Rehabilitation Center of Haverhill on Thursday, July 24, 2025. Susan was born in Quincy and was a graduate of Quincy High School. After living the first half of her life in Quincy she then moved to Haverhill.

Susan was happiest when spending time with her granddaughter Ava or visiting her sister’s family and playing with all their dogs. Susan loved being an aunt and spoiling her nieces and nephews when they were younger. She especially loved giving the kids junk food when the parents said no. Susan also loved the many trips to Hershey Park with her entire family. So many wonderful times spent together eating chocolate. Susan was a Breast Cancer survivor, who fought such a hard battle.

Susan was the daughter of the late Edward T. McCarthy, Jr. and Patricia Ann (Cairns) Russo. She is the beloved mother of Alicia Michaud of Weymouth and the proud grandmother of Ava McCarthy of Georgia. Susan is the devoted sister of David McCarthy married to Donna od Rockland, Patrick McCarthy married to Susan of Rockland, Brenda Rozzi married to Anthony of Haverhill and Bruce McCarthy of Maine. She was the sister of the late Stephen McCarthy and Doris McCarthy. Susan is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

Services for Susan will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Susan’s memory to American cancer society.
